The artists’ collective Magicgruppe Kulturobjekt<\/em> presents materials taken from a range of formal and functional contexts as a spatial narrative that begins at the exhibition site. The work of art evolves on site through a process of negotiation and consolidation sustained by the group as a single collective actor. The new juxtapositions of the materials brought together create blind spots where standard categories no longer apply and an alternative way of seeing and experiencing is evoked.<\/p>\n

Magicgruppe Kulturobjekt<\/em> is less of a group name than a working title. It stands for a collective exploration and testing of a visual language. The composition of the group changes from exhibition to exhibition.<\/p>\n

This presentation is divided into two parts which take place parallel to each other in the Ludwig Forum, Aachen, and the Extra City Kunsthal, Antwerp.<\/p>\n

The exhibitions are staged within the framework of the collaborative project “Europ\u00e4ische Partnerschaften” (European Partnerships<\/i>) between the Goethe Institute and the Kunststiftung NRW (Arts Foundation NRW<\/i>).<\/p>\n
