Plattform Aachen<\/em> is a research project of the Ludwig Forum f\u00fcr Internationale Kunst<\/em>. It documents the pioneering artistic activities that have emanated from Aachen since the 1960s. From 2013 on, the “active archive” was dedicated to collecting, networking and communicating the art-historically important Aachen impulses that deserve new attention from today’s perspective. The platform installed an archive of photographs, autographs, newspaper articles, and other archival materials about events and actors in art from 1960 to the present.<\/p>

The archive provides access to important contemporary documents for research purposes. Scholars and students are invited to use the archive for research and to advance the indexing of the sources. For example, Plattform Aachen<\/em> has already done the groundwork for the research and exhibition project Die Erfindung der Neuen Wilden<\/em>.<\/p>
