On November<\/strong> 17<\/strong> and<\/strong> 18, 2022<\/strong>, a conference<\/strong> will be held on the topic of Art & Algorithms<\/strong> as part of the research project \u00bbTraining the Archive.\u00ab
On this occasion, renowned scholars will provide an overview of the current state of research in the application of algorithms in the context of art and museums.<\/p>

Professor Sybille Kr\u00e4mer<\/strong> will introduce the topic in her keynote. This will be followed by a panel discussion with Inke Arns<\/strong> (director of HMKV Hartware MedienKunstVerein), Yvonne Zindel<\/strong> (author & curator) and Sybille Kr\u00e4mer <\/strong>on the social impact of algorithmic technology in our everyday lives. Hannes Bajohr<\/strong> (author of Blanks. Word Processing<\/em>) will conclude the program with a literary reading before a get-together.<\/p>

Based on the question of how artificial intelligence and machine learning models can change access to museum collections, the second day of the conference will address the big questions regarding the keywords: Select<\/em>, Retrieve<\/em>, and Combine<\/em>. Speakers: Fabian Offert<\/strong>, Roland Meyer<\/strong>, Tillmann Ohm<\/strong>, Eva Cetini\u0107<\/strong>, Dominik B\u00f6nisch<\/strong>, Vincent Christlein<\/strong>, Katrin Glinka<\/strong>, Gaia Tedone<\/strong>, and Geoff Cox.<\/strong><\/p>
