\u00bbThe thought itself as a daughter of wishes: that there could be something to read which matches the indicated years and events. That the atlases and spelling books could have kept something secret, something that they could possibly reveal in the future. That the betrayal could soon reach us, and that it could be beautiful despite the odds.\u00ab<\/p>

Enis Maci and Mazlum Nergiz read Karl May<\/em>. The text is about Winnetou and Old Shatterhand, about impostors and iconoclasts and about two friends who get lost in a rabbit hole.<\/p>

Enis Maci<\/strong> has received numerous awards for her plays and essays. Most recently she published: Ice Cream Parlour Europe<\/em> (2018, edition suhrkamp 2726) and WONDER<\/em> (2021, Suhrkamp Theater).<\/p>

Mazlum Nergiz<\/strong> writes proses, essays and plays. Most recently he published the graphic novel Koma<\/em> in collaboration with Leonie Ott (2023, M\u00c4RZ publishers).<\/p>

In addition to the museum’s numerous activities in the fields of performance, dance, music and film, the Forum Literatur<\/em> introduces an explicitly literary constant to the program of the Ludwig Forum Aachen. From now on, international authors are invited in regular intervals to share their work with a broad public in the context of readings, performances, workshops, and conversations. The first edition of the Forum Literatur<\/em> takes place at the Ludwig Forum Aachen from January to December 2024. It was conceived in close dialogue between Eva Birkenstock (Director, Ludwig Forum Aachen) and Hermann M\u00fcller (Literary Curator, Berlin) and is generously supported by the Kunststiftung NRW. In 2024, the Aachen-based Backhaus book store will set up book tables for the events as part of a cooperation with Forum Literatur<\/em>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
