This weekend, we cordially invite you to a special programme at Ludwig Forum Aachen on the occasion of this year’s Kunstroute: In addition to regular guided tours through our current exhibitions, artist Tim Berresheim will present his participatory project Aus alter Wurzel neue Kraft in a conversation with representatives of the participating institutions on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2 pm. His Augmented Reality installation will open afterwards at Ludwig Forum Park.<\/p>

On Sunday, September 29, 2024, a programme of live acts and experimental DJ sets will kick off a new long-term collaboration between the Aachen based collective TBA and the Ludwig Forum, in which different spaces of the museum will regularly serve as a stage for musical performances.<\/p>

Admission to the museum and the events is free on this weekend. Please find further information on the events below.<\/p>

Artist Tim Berresheim will present his participatory project Aus alter Wurzel neue Kraft<\/em> together with representatives and participants from the institutions involved in the project. The discussion will be moderated by Myriam Kroll (project manager AAWNK and Deputy Director Route Charlemagne).<\/p>

Opening of the Augmented Reality installation by Tim Berresheim
Venue: Ludwig Forum Park<\/p>

The Augmented Reality installation shows a three-dimensional scan of the sculpture Apollo and Daphne<\/em> by Filippo Parodi (1630-1702), which was created between 1650 and 1700 and is part of the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum’s collection. Pupils and participants from the Grundschule am Fischmarkt, the Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasium and the College of the Volkshochschule Aachen painted and transferred it into an AR installation. It is the first in a series of similar works by Tim Berresheim that will be shown in the park of Ludwig Forum Aachen.
The work Durch Verwandlung verdirb die Gestalt, mit der ich zu sehr gefiel!<\/em> (2024) is part of the AAWNK project initiated by the City of Aachen’s cultural department, which is being realized by the Grundschule am Fischmarkt, the Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasium and the College der Volkshochschule in Aachen as well as in collaboration with the municipal institutions Centre Charlemagne, Ludwig Forum Aachen, Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum together with Tim Berresheim.<\/p>

Listening Session with TBA & Illusion
On the occasion of this year’s Kunstroute, we are delighted to welcome the two local music collectives, TBA and Pumpenfabrik from Aachen and Illusion from Cologne to put together a program of live acts and experimental DJ sets. With their shared idea of creating a place that allows a holistic experience of electronic music beyond the dancefloor, TBA, Illusion, and Pumpenfabrik will create a space in the Ludwig Forum that allows visitors to explore different modes of listening. Alongside the colllectives members\u2019 contribution the Cologne-based, South-Korean music producer and interdisciplinary artist Inwoo Jung, will perform a live set.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
