On the occasion of this year’s Kunstroute, we are delighted to welcome the two local music collectives, TBA and Pumpenfabrik from Aachen and Illusion from Cologne to put together a program of live acts and experimental DJ sets. With their shared idea of creating a place that allows a holistic experience of electronic music beyond the dancefloor, TBA, Illusion, and Pumpenfabrik will create a space in the Ludwig Forum that allows visitors to explore different modes of listening. Alongside the colllectives members\u2019 contribution the Cologne-based, South-Korean music producer and interdisciplinary artist Inwoo Jung, will perform a live set.<\/p>

Inwoo Jung<\/strong>\u2019s practice involves materializing sensory experiences and imaginations into a tangible form. His sonic integration merges microtonal sound sculpting with obscure composition to occur happenings and dynamics that transcend the normative framework. By the bodily inhale\/ release of emotions and thoughts, his expression seeks for intersectional awareness of solidarity.<\/p>

TBA<\/strong> is a collective of DJs and producers, firmly rooted in Aachen’s club scene. By realising unconventional concepts and networking local talent, they help shape the local club culture in a sustainable way. In collaboration with Pumpenfabrik, they created \u2018Inner Fields\u2019, a series of events with a multi-sensory focus. An interplay of ambient\/contemporary electronic music, interior design and selected drinks.<\/p>

Illusion<\/strong> is an integral part of the electronic music scene in Cologne. Founded by Ada Luvv, Ole B\/P, Low Ki, Magnus and mmara, the DJ collective has established itself in the underground scene. Their events in well-known venues such as Jaki and Gew\u00f6lbe have attracted international DJs such as Batu, object blue and Ben UFO. Their new event series \u2018Soft Illusion\u2019 also offers a calming alternative to the club scene, focusing on ambient sounds. The collaboration with TBA, Pumpenfabrik and Ludwig Forum Aachen is part of this event series.<\/p>

The event marks the start of a new long-term cooperation between the Aachen-based collective tba and the Ludwig Forum in which different spaces of the museum will regularly serve as a stage for musical performances.<\/p>

TBA would like to thank Pumpenfabrik for developing the spatial concept and G\u00f6rg Wolle, whose donation of wool made it possible to design a haptic version of the event poster.
