Bon Voyage!

13.11.20–11.04.21

Opening: Wednesday, October 7, 2020, 7 pm

Parallel to the exhibitions on Albrecht Dürer and Karl V., we present a selection of contemporary artistic positions that focus on travel. The exhibition invites visitors to travel off the beaten tourist track. Included in the luggage are personal challenges, political and climatic borderline experiences, fictitious and virtual journeys in the mind and the last journey to the afterlife, which does not require a suitcase. By means of paintings, installations, videos, objects and photographs, the exhibition conveys the fascination and significance of artists’ journeys.
