In autumn 2023, art residencies along the border between Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium open their doors wide for international guest artists and join their forces in a unique network programme: the Borderland Residencies. Numerous events await the artists during their residencies. Whether it’s cross-border excursions, day trips to selected art venues or studio visits and co-productions – Borderland Residencies, in its third round, once again offers a varied programme that not only seeks to support careers, but to unveil the challenges of art making in an intricate world.
We cordially invite you to celebrate the opening of the Borderland Residencies with us on the 3rd of September 2023 and to be present when the new Borderland generation enters the stage. The day will be complemented by a guided tour of the exhibition “Illiberal Lives” and a talk with the artists in residence.
If you plan to attend the opening, please register via e-mail to maike.beier@kulturraum-niederrhein.de until August 23rd.
